Meet John Hopkins
Welcome to Swift Creek Wealth Management. My name is John Hopkins.
I have worked as a Financial Planner and Wealth Manager since 2012. Prior to starting Swift Creek Wealth Management in 2019, I worked for a couple of other financial advisory firms in the area.
Before working in the Financial industry, I had a 20-year career as a Naval Flight Officer in the US Navy (yes, I flew off aircraft carriers). I also worked as a 401 (K) Mergers and Acquisition Conversion Specialist for the Vanguard Group and as a Six Sigma Black Belt for GE Transport International Pool/Modular Space (a GE Capital Company) during a two year break in my military service.
I grew up in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania and lived in many locations during my military career. I came to the Richmond area in 2005 and was the Commanding Officer of Navy Operational Support Center Richmond. Although I had a couple military positions after that, I have lived in Chesterfield County since then.
